About the Role


We are seeking a Quality Assurance Practitioner/Engineer to join our Maritime Australia business on the Hunter Class Frigate Program based at Osborne, Adelaide. You will be part of an inclusive and supportive team, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, and will be employed on a permanent full time basis.


We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, including working a 9-day fortnight and a hybrid working environment.


Key responsibilities include:



  • \t
  • Perform a range of quality assurance activities, ensuring quality practices are being effectively deployed
    \t
  • Conduct quality internal process audits and health checks and provide support with corrective and preventative actions
    \t
  • Provide coaching, advice and support to stakeholders on quality assurance related matters and processes
    \t
  • Contribute and demonstrate an understanding to the quality policies, strategies, objectives and processes in your day-to-day work
    \t
  • Collaborate effectively and build good relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a positive culture
    \t
  • Support and implement continuous improvement and quality assurance improvement activities
    \t
  • Contribute to the management and effectiveness of the Business Management System

About You


We are looking for individuals with experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in the defence industry or a relevant field. You will have proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, the ability to develop reports and documents, and good communication and interpersonal skills. A Lead Auditor qualification or a relevant technical qualification, or Maritime industry experience, will be highly regarded.
