We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Prosthetic Specialist to lead our orthotics team at SA Health.
As an Advanced Prosthetic Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality prosthetic and orthotic services to our patients, with a focus on upper limb prosthetics, osseointegration prosthetics, neuro-muscular orthotics, acute and rehabilitation streams.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans, provide education and training to healthcare professionals, and ensure ongoing development of high-quality services within the department.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high standards of client care in prosthetics and orthotics, including specialist areas such as upper limb prosthetics and osseointegration prosthetics.
- Provide consultancy services to healthcare professionals within SA Health and external agencies on assessment, delivery, and long-term management of clients with complex needs.
- Ensure ongoing development of high-quality P&O services within the department, in consultation with the Director OPSA.
- Lead and train healthcare professionals in education and training of specialist areas.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics or equivalent qualification.
- Eligibility for membership to the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA).
- Proven experience in all aspects of service delivery related to prosthetics and/or orthotics, with a specialisation in orthotics preferred.
- Demonstrated high-level clinical and technical skills pertaining to orthotics and/or prosthetics.
