Job Title: Cyber Security Uplift Technician

 

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cyber Security Uplift Technician to join our high performing team of professionals. This is a permanent opportunity in a partnering Defence organisation where you will work collaboratively to protect and ensure the safety of mission critical systems for the Australian Defence Force.

 

The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor within the Cyber Security team, providing guidance and implementing a Software Configuration Management Environment with a focus on SOE development. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading SOE uplift activities
  • Implementing controls based on DSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight
  • Identifying and communicating risks, solutions, and implementation strategies to stakeholders
  • Supporting the development and implementation of architecture for security operations
  • Supporting the design or implementation of security architecture

 

The ideal candidate will possess sound knowledge in cyber security configuration environments and patching programs, as well as experience in developing and implementing solutions to reduce risks to networks and systems. They must also have strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate risks of developing vulnerabilities and writing reports to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

Requirements include being an Australian citizen with an NV2 clearance or having the ability to obtain one.
