We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Komatsu Australia's reman facility in Mackay. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for repairing and overhauling Komatsu mining equipment, as well as refurbishing major components.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery
- Overhaul and refurbish major components to ensure optimal performance
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve zero-harm culture and meet production targets
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge
- 3+ years of experience in a mechanical fitting or heavy vehicle trade
- Prior experience in workshop overhauls and mining machinery
- Desirable: experience working within OEM and holding a Doggers and Forklift licence
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organisation skills
