Volunteer Role in Disability Support

At Multicap Melbourne, we are leaders in disability support and mental health services. With over 8000 customers and clients across Victoria, Queensland, and northern New South Wales, our organization provides individualized support, experiences, and opportunities.

We empower, respect, connect, and create for our customers and their families. Our volunteers will support them in various ways, both directly and indirectly.

This role is perfect for students undertaking relevant studies who want to gain invaluable work experience while including their hours as placement. If you're 18 years or older and can spare a few hours per month to volunteer, you're welcome to contact us to explore what volunteering opportunities suit you best.

We offer diverse volunteering opportunities, including:

  • Mentoring: You'll be matched with a person with a disability and provide much-needed respite for families by spending quality time together, whenever it suits you.
  • Program, recreation/social volunteers: You'll support and assist with community activities, such as shopping trips, taking individuals to and from parks, or going for walks.

To qualify for this role, you'll need to:

  • Hold a Working with Children Check
  • A NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities)
  • Be at least 18 years old

You might also need to complete Multicap forms, such as Media Consent, Code of Conduct, or online training, which we'll explain if necessary.
