Job DescriptionAs a Disability Support Professional, your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support to people with disabilities, enabling them to achieve their goals and aspirations. This will involve assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks, as well as facilitating community connections and social participation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide person-centered support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their autonomy and self-determination.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Facilitate community connections and social participation, encouraging individuals to engage in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including healthcare providers and therapists, to ensure comprehensive support and care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working in a disability support role, preferably in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
- Physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and effectively.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
