Key Role in Mining Operations

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Mining Engineer.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to dynamic projects in a company that values ingenuity and professional growth.

The Position Overview

  • Design operational level mine plans, producing and executing mine designs
  • Implement productivity initiatives and engage with multiple stakeholders to embed leading practice

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop daily and/or weekly mine plans using relevant software (e.g., Alastri APS, Deswik Sched)
  2. Design tactical level mine designs (roads, ramps, pit modifications, waste dumps, etc)
  3. Optimise haulage routes and road networks
  4. Identify productivity improvement initiatives, ensuring they encompass the needs of all stakeholders
  5. Drill and blast design
  6. Provide technical support to mine operations teams
  7. Generate production and conformance reports

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline
  • 4+ years experience
  • Experience with daily/weekly mine planning
  • Experience with site based mine design
  • Experience with drill and blast design
  • Proven experience with Vulcan, and/or Deswik CAD
  • Proven experience with Alastri suite and/or Deswik Scheduling tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Uncompromising commitment to safety
  • Current manual driver's licence
  • Quarry Managers ticket (preferred but not essential)
  • Full Australian working rights
