We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Expert to lead our kitchen team in providing exceptional dining experiences. Key responsibilities include preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menus and improve kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cooking a range of dishes to a high standard using different techniques
  • Preparing and seasoning ingredients to ensure consistency and quality
  • Following recipes and portion controls, and adapting to customer requirements
  • Monitoring kitchen equipment temperatures and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including storage, procurement, and stock rotation
  • Ensuring adherence to safety, hygiene, and food quality regulations and standards
  • Assisting in training kitchen staff and maintaining a positive team culture

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 2 years' experience as a Chef
  • Cert IV or above in cookery

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience with Japanese cuisine
  • Proficiency in cutting and cooking techniques and principles
  • Strong team member skills, with a proactive and energetic approach to work
  • Effective communication skills
