Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our operations team at Sydney Airport. As a key member of our national security department, you will provide administrative support and assist with ABF and Aviation Security compliance from an administration perspective.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative assistance to the National Security Manager
  • Maintain accurate staff records for our workforce
  • Manage ID access services, including onboarding and offboarding
  • Support National Criminal History checks
  • Conduct workplace investigations
  • Monitor security performance and collaborate with external auditors
  • Participate in new staff inductions, ensuring awareness of security requirements
  • Manage security systems and manpower needs
  • Conduct regular internal audits and coordinate external safety assessments
  • Maintain contact databases for Australian Border Force compliance
  • Prepare monthly compliance reports for stakeholders and management

Requirements:

  • Experience in Customs and ATO warehouse applications
  • Strong attention to detail and prior experience in similar roles
  • CCTV and access control system expertise advantageous
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands
  • Methodical analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Certification in Workplace Training and Assessment beneficial
