We are seeking expressions of interest for current or aspiring Vocational Education (VE) Teachers who have relevant industry qualifications and vocational teaching qualifications or are currently obtaining a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses in the School.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver course material and assess students in selected courses
- Supervise students enrolled in selected courses
- Participate in the School's continuing reviews of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods, and methods of students' assessment
- Interact with external organisations, industry groups, and RMIT teaching and administration staff
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments
- Skills and experience in competency-based assessment and ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed
- Experience in relevant industry and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position
- Relevant qualifications, including a Certificate 4 in Training & Assessment (enrolled or finished) and relevant trades qualifications and licenses
- The capacity to diagnose learning problems in students and propose and implement effective solutions
- The ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team
