Midwife Career Opportunity

A top-performing maternity ward is seeking an experienced Registered Midwife to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering high-quality midwifery care and providing exceptional patient experience to women and their families
  • Liaising with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Supervising, directing and guiding midwifery/nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
  • Providing education and support to mothers and their families
Requirements
  • Current Midwifery Registration with the relevant authority
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Special Care Nursery experience advantageous
  • Compliance with national clinical guidelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compliance with NSW Health Policy on occupational screening and vaccination
  • Basic computer literacy
