Job Title: Vehicle Procurement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vehicle Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for sourcing vehicles from various suppliers nationwide to meet our operational needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent diagnostic skills, and the ability to troubleshoot product faults. You will also possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and assess online auction listings to determine vehicle suitability for procurement
  • Sources vehicles from auctions and other suppliers nationwide
  • Optimize part selection using available data at the point of valuation
  • Achieve procurement targets through strategic vehicle and part selection
  • Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and ad-hoc reports
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Sound knowledge of the mechanical and automotive repair industry
  • Strong mechanical background with diagnostic capability across a variety of makes and models
  • Ability to troubleshoot product faults and provide step-by-step solutions
  • Experience using Pinnacle and Bid Buddy systems
  • Skilled in interpreting manufacturer parts catalogues and determining interchangeability
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiating, decision-making, and conflict management skills
