Network Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Newmont Mining. As a key member of our Operational Technology team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of our production networks and related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively support and maintain the Boddington Operational Technology Network Infrastructure to ensure maximum availability
- Provide real-time support and escalation point for production network systems
- Collaborate with the Network Supervisor to maintain an operable network test environment for general network testing and MineStar User Acceptance Testing
- Ensure network redundancy systems operate as designed and routinely coordinate testing
- Responsible for ensuring that network documentation is accurate, maintained, and available on a timely basis
- Support the investigation of faults in switching, firewalls, and other security appliances
- Conduct testing of network equipment configuration and firmware upgrades
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in a technical support role with a strong mix of business, functional, and technical skills
- Good understanding of Mining or other Resources type Operations
- Proven ability to discuss server, storage, and backup concepts and strategies in simple, clear terms to help drive and influence decision making of business and application owners
- Broad knowledge of all technology considerations (performance, scalability, maintainability, deployment, operations, technology infrastructure)
