About the Role

We are seeking an experienced secondary tutor to join our team at the Kip McGrath Education Centre in Bathurst. As a tutor, you will be responsible for teaching students using our proven methodology, which focuses on literacy and numeracy skills. You will work in a small group setting, helping students to grow their confidence and meet their goals every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach students using the Kip McGrath methodology
  • Tutor students in a positive, caring manner to promote self-esteem and self-worth
  • Use our state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face lessons, saving you time on preparation
  • Be available to commit to every class you are scheduled to teach
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with students and parents
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and goals online
  • Provide verbal and written feedback to parents
  • Work up to 2-3 sessions a day, Monday to Thursday
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A teaching degree or be in the final year of your degree
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • A friendly, professional, and personable manner
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment and independently
  • A positive, vibrant personality
  • Confidence using software and computers
  • A genuine love for learning and teaching
  • Reliable, high attention to detail, and strong organisational skills
  • Ability and willingness to teach face-to-face in our Bathurst Centre and online as required by management
