About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Outbye Mechanical Coordinator Lead to join our Centurion underground mine in Mackay. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our underground infrastructure, including conveyor systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a systematic approach in identifying and delivering sustainable mechanical maintenance processes and methods.
  • Effectively lead and develop the mechanical maintenance crews to ensure optimal performance of equipment and delivery of the mine plan.
  • Manage engagement with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and contractors.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives across crews.
  • E nsure all statutory inspections and maintenance tooling/safety equipment are maintained and periodic calibrations/inspections are recorded.
  • Ensure underground equipment compliance aligns with site standards.
  • Assist with budget development and expenditure management via SAP maintenance/purchasing system.
  • Oversee and provide guidance in the execution of weekly work and shutdown schedules to minimize unscheduled work.
  • E nsure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements and Peabody and North Goonyella site policies and procedures.

This position offers a 9-day fortnight roster (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) and can accommodate a residential or fly-in/fly-out lifestyle from Moranbah.
