The Role

We're seeking a Staff Data Engineer to lead our data engineering infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to develop our data practices and drive business impact.

Responsibilities
  1. Become the strategic owner and technical leader of our data and analytics platforms.
  2. Build and optimize data pipelines to support the collection, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data into databases, warehouses or data lakes.
  3. Ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing robust validation and observability processes.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data systems with business goals and measure success.
  5. Drive efforts to address data integrity, reporting, and insights, while remediating inconsistencies and gaps.
Requirements
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to understand stakeholder needs.
  • Excellent communication and advocacy for data-driven practices.
  • Extensive experience with SQL, data modeling tools, and programming languages such as Python or R; data system architecture experience.
  • Hands-on expertise with a modern event data stack and familiarity with tools like Segment, Amplitude, BigQuery, Looker Studio, Google Analytics, CDP and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
