Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Freight Screening Officer to ensure the safety and security of cargo goods and services.

This role involves conducting thorough screenings of Cargo and performing security related taskings in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform security screenings of freight consignments using screening equipment.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with transportation security regulations.
  • Identify and respond to potential threats, prohibited weapons, and suspicious behaviors.
  • Document and report any security incidents or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
Requirements:
  • Certificate II Transport Security Protection (Air Cargo Examination Officer)
  • VIC Security Licence
  • AUS or relevant port, Aviation Security Identification Card
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow established protocols and procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
