Pursue a dynamic and challenging role within our mine closure services team.

This position will see you enhance your capabilities and reputation by contributing to iconic mine closure projects in Western Australia.

You will collaborate with talented professionals working on complex projects to drive future-ready outcomes that benefit clients and communities.

Our global team of dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry's green transition by decarbonizing mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic mine closure plans and cost estimates for engineering concept studies, ensuring effective project delivery.
  • Provide expert advice on rehabilitation & closure issues to internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and transparency.
  • Utilize strong technical skills to develop comprehensive closure strategies for complex landforms, minimizing environmental impact.
  • Ensure necessary documentation is met to meet regulatory requirements during mine planning, design, operation, and closure, maintaining compliance and efficiency.
  • Deliver strategic work, including developing new processes for asset transition to closure, driving business growth and innovation.
  • Evaluate closure aspects in mine planning, design, and operation, providing data-driven insights for informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Environmental Science, Management, or Engineering, demonstrating expertise in relevant fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of the WA mining market and relevant legislation, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • At least 5 years' experience in closure planning, mining, rehabilitation, or related areas, showcasing leadership and expertise.
  • Prior experience in study phase mine closure, either long-term planning or execution, highlighting ability to drive results.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience dealing with various clients and stakeholders, fostering effective relationships and collaboration.
