About the Role

We are seeking a Paediatric Psychologist to join our private practice in Western Melbourne. The role involves providing therapy services to children and families, with a focus on early years and school-aged children. You will work with a broad range of clients, setting achievable goals to support them to function more independently at home, in an educational setting, and in the community.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, current registration as a psychologist with AHPRA, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in development and implementation of positive Behaviour Support and Counselling. You will also have the ability to conduct individual therapy, psychosocial assessments, cognitive assessments, ADOS assessments, some parenting work, and behavioural assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapy services to children and families
  • Conduct individual therapy, psychosocial assessments, cognitive assessments, ADOS assessments, some parenting work, and behavioural assessments
  • Develop and implement positive Behaviour Support and Counselling plans
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality services to clients

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology
  • Current registration as a psychologist with AHPRA
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in development and implementation of positive Behaviour Support and Counselling
  • Ability to conduct individual therapy, psychosocial assessments, cognitive assessments, ADOS assessments, some parenting work, and behavioural assessments
