Are you a motivated and ambitious individual looking to start your career in equity analysis? We are seeking a highly skilled junior equity analyst to join our dynamic investment team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting research and analysis efforts, working closely with senior analysts and portfolio managers to contribute to investment decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a solid track record of stocks under coverage, providing timely and thoroughly considered buy and sell recommendations.
  • Initiate own investment recommendations based on insightful and timely observations of industry and stock trends.
  • Conduct forecasting, modelling, and analysis of company characteristics.
  • Build strong relationships with industry contacts, information providers, and investee companies.
  • Stay up-to-date with stock and sector news and issues.
  • Maintain relationships with company management and directors, initiating contact and arranging meetings as necessary.
  • Monitor competitor companies, arrange visits, and maintain relationships with relevant industry contacts.
  • Write succinct notes about each company visit.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A genuine passion for listed equities.
  • 1-4 years of experience in corporate finance, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, equity research, or corporate development.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to navigate professional achievements and setbacks.
  • A solid understanding of accounting, valuation, modelling, and financial analysis.
  • Confidence and resilience.
  • Full working rights in Australia (visa sponsorship is not an option).
