Makerspace Innovation Officer

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of innovative programs, services, and initiatives within a dynamic library makerspace environment.

  • Design and deliver workshops that foster creativity, skill development, and student wellbeing.
  • Support students in using various MakerSpace equipment, including 3D printers, Cricut machines, textiles, and electronics.
  • Guide and mentor Student Peer Support Assistants working in the space.
  • Develop processes, resources, and guides to enhance accessibility and usability of MakerSpace tools.
About You

We are seeking someone with a background in creative industries, design, art, textiles, engineering, architecture, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a combination of creativity and technical ability, with familiarity using similar equipment. Strong communication and peer support skills are essential for assisting students in learning and problem-solving.

The successful applicant will be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate adaptability, and remain motivated by the prospect of making a positive impact on student learning outcomes.
