About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Intelligence Diplomacy and International Partnerships Officer. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing our international agenda in support of the 2024 National Defence Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Defence, the National Intelligence Community, and the APS, as well as with key partner nations and overseas posts.
  • Contribute to the development and drafting of strategic policy documents, including organisational strategies and ministerial briefing.
  • Support AGO's senior leadership to host high-level dialogues and diplomatic events, including event logistics, secretariat support, and hosting requirements.
  • Communicate, consult, liaise, and engage across AGO, Defence, the National Intelligence Community, and with international partners to plan, coordinate, and execute international visit programs.
  • Task and review briefing material from across the organisation, exercising judgement and triaging information to identify key factors that support decision making.
