Med-X Healthcare Solutions is a rapidly growing company in the Freightways Ltd group of companies, providing complete Clinical Waste, Sharps Disposal and Hygiene & Washroom Solutions.

Competitive Salary:

  • $65,000 - $75,000 per year

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Waste Collection Specialist to join our team. As a member of our crew, you will work unsupervised, with an interest in a diverse range of tasks such as driving, collections and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Driving in the Sydney Region and Regional Surrounding Areas: You will drive our vehicles in the Sydney region and occasionally in the regional surrounding areas.
  2. Delivery and Collection of Clinical & Medical Bins: You will deliver and collect clinical & medical bins, sharps containers and related products.
  3. Loading and Unloading of Vehicles: You will load and unload your vehicle safely and efficiently.
  4. Daily Vehicle Inspections: You will perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure your vehicle is maintained, safe and clean.
  5. Service Paperwork: You will complete all service paperwork accurately and on time.
  6. Load Weighing and Recording: You will weigh and record your vehicle's load weights.
  7. Compliance: You will remain compliant with all policies and procedures including WHS.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Valid Medium Rigid (MR) Truck License: You must have a valid MR truck license with a clean driving record.
  2. 1+ Years Driving Experience: You must have 1+ years of driving experience, preferably in commercial driving.
  3. Multi Drop Experience: Previous multi drop experience is preferred.
  4. Customer Focus: You must have strong customer focus and be able to communicate effectively with customers.
  5. Smartphone Technology: You must be able to use smartphone technologies.
  6. Teamwork and Independence: You must be able to work independently within a close-knit team environment.
  7. Adaptability: You must be willing to work in both metro and regional areas.
  8. Flexibility: You must be willing to start at varied and sometimes early times.
  9. Safe Manual Handling: You must have safe manual handling skills.
  10. Physical Demands: You must be able to regularly push and pull 660ltr bins.
  11. Work Ethic: You must be hard-working, punctual and reliable.
  12. Communication: You must be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
