About the Role:

As an ICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications, managing ventilators, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions, providing timely interventions as required.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate and manage complex medical equipment, including ventilators and infusion pumps.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Offer emotional support to patients' families during challenging times.
  • Participate in educational programs and training to stay updated on the latest medical practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
  • Strong knowledge of critical care protocols, ventilator management, and advanced cardiac life support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and make swift decisions.
  • A passion for continuous learning and professional development.
