About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Attendant to provide short-term care services for a client in a private residence. Confidentiality and respect are essential, as the client's family values privacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene tasks, including showering, dressing, and grooming, tailored to the client's needs each day.
  • Help with morning routines, including showering, oral care, dressing, and grooming, and assist with food preparation and meal placement.
  • Support household tasks, such as laundry, bathroom cleaning, taking out rubbish, and general tidying, as time allows.
  • Provide client-centered care, being attentive to the client's needs and offering thoughtful gestures, such as foot massages or comfort adjustments.
Cognitive Support:

The client is cognitively intact and does not require dementia care. Their condition (Parkinson's Disease) requires assistance but maintains their independence and autonomy.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in aged care, disability, and home & community care.
  • Qualifications in Aged Care/Disability/Individual Support/Nursing.
  • A valid driver's license and dependable vehicle.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certifications.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or the eagerness to obtain one.
  • The ability to adapt to diverse shifts and locations.
