About the Opportunity:
The Hospital Outreach Post-suicidal Engagement Team at Mercy Mental Health aims to build resilience in individuals who have made a suicide attempt by providing them with intensive outreach support and individualized therapeutic care. We are seeking either a Grade 3 Senior Clinical Psychologist or a Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist to join our multi-disciplinary HOPE team.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills. You will also be able to adapt and problem solve, nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the HOPE team to actively engage clients in the assessment of their own suicide risk and contribute to their suicide prevention plan.
- Provide clients with targeted short-term, evidence-based psychological interventions, including mindfulness, DBT, ACT or CBT.
- Develop and implement individualised therapeutic plans that promote client autonomy and self-determination.
