About the Role
The Solicitor position is a key opportunity for an experienced legal professional to make a meaningful impact in refugee and human rights law. As a member of our team, you will provide legal assistance to individuals and families seeking asylum, refugees, and displaced people.
This challenging role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. You will be responsible for providing casework assistance, advice, and representation to clients at various levels, including Departmental, Immigration Assessment Authority, Administrative Appeals Tribunal, and Judicial Review.
You will also contribute to RACS policy and law reform work, identifying and responding to the cultural needs and vulnerabilities of our clients. Additionally, you will manage client data and documentation, communicate with stakeholders, and participate in training and education programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal assistance and representation to clients at various levels
- Contribute to policy and law reform work

Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a legal environment, particularly in refugee and human rights law
