Job Description: As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with our company, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our bus fleet. This includes:

  • Repairing, servicing, and maintaining buses to meet regulatory standards
  • Road testing vehicles as required
  • Attending breakdowns on and off-site
  • Identifying and repairing vehicle defects

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current NSW MVTC Motor Mechanic trade certificate (essential)
  • TAFE Cert III Heavy Vehicle Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (essential)
  • A current HR drivers license (or ability to obtain)
  • Computer literacy for accurate maintenance record keeping
  • Capability to supervise and assist in training apprentices and trade assistants
  • Experience with scan tools (desirable)
  • Experience in bus maintenance and public transport operations (desirable)
