The Central Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthopaedic Upper Limb Fellow to join our team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our orthopaedic services.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in clinical practice as determined by the Head of Unit and Senior Orthopaedic consultant staff.
- Responsible for outpatient and inpatient day-to-day clinical care of patients under the direct supervision of nominated Consultant staff.
- Ensure a high standard of clinical practice of Resident Medical Officers/Interns in the Department/Unit.
- Organize and implement clinical review programs as part of quality assurance, including preparation of reports.
- Be involved in the after-hours emergency on-call roster on a regular basis.
- Assist with postgraduate teaching programs.
- Be involved in department research programs and take a lead role in designated projects.
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Must be registerable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).
- Completion of specialist orthopaedic surgical training program.
- Completion of ATLS or similar course.
- Completed basic and advanced fracture management courses.
The Central Adelaide Local Health Network includes South Australia's major quaternary facility, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, and the Repat Health Precinct.
