The role requires building networks and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, sporting codes and bodies, and the community to drive broader social change, build resilience, social connectedness, and achieve sustainable community outcomes.
The Senior Sport and Active Lifestyle Officer will work at a grass-roots level within the community and local sporting groups to understand community needs and aspirations, inform, and drive community capacity building and community stewardship outcomes to create a community that is well connected, involved, active, and informed.
About YouWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in sport and recreation development, community engagement, and leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing leadership and mentorship in sport and recreation development, operationalising team plans to ensure delivery of positive measurable community outcomes within budget.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of community needs and aspirations, and be able to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive community outcomes.
