The Business Restructuring TeamOur rapidly growing practice encompasses corporate insolvency, business restructuring, and turnaround management. We work on career-defining engagements, including corporate restructures, sales of business, independent business reviews, safe harbour reviews, litigation matters, and general external administration work.
Current OpportunityAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Insolvency Accountant to join our growing Melbourne Business Restructuring team. This role will play an integral part in progressing your own portfolio of engagements to achieve great outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and progress formal insolvency appointments, including voluntary administrations, receiverships, liquidations, and creditors' voluntary liquidations.
- Formulate and recommend strategies on complex matters that add value to our clients.
- Engagement management, risk mitigation, WIP management, and other associated tasks.
- Design and develop financial models and attend to reporting protocols.
- Reporting to lenders and creditors, assisting with stakeholder meetings.
- Identifying and pursuing legal claims and investigations in a timely manner.
- Building and developing existing or new relationships.
- Developing and coaching junior staff members.
- Tertiary qualifications and CA/CPA qualifications (or ARITA qualification).
- Experience with independent business reviews is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving, investigation, and financial analytical skills.
- Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience managing staff is highly beneficial.
