About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Traffic/Transport Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. As part of our Transport Planning and Advisory team, you will partner with clients to provide traffic and transport solutions for the community.

As a Traffic/Transport Engineer, you will work on a range of projects and be responsible for providing accurate and efficient transport engineering services.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Conducting site inspections and gathering information on road environment, traffic, and road safety.
  • Planning, supervising, and conducting traffic and parking surveys.
  • Preparing and administering questionnaires.
  • Analysing traffic and parking data using Excel and SIDRA Intersection modelling.
  • Providing design advice for intersection and parking layouts.
  • Obtaining and assessing crash data.
  • Undertaking road safety assessments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2 years' experience working in a traffic engineering capacity and familiarity with software such as SIDRA.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment or for local/state government in a similar role.
  • A good working knowledge of best practice standards, guidelines, current trends, and legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills to present traffic and transport issues to a wide audience.
