About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and skilled accounting professional to join our finance team as a Senior Reporting Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across the business, focusing on lease accounting, capital expenditure, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Manage lease accounting in accordance with IFRS 16, including recognition, remeasurement, and disclosure of right-of-use assets and lease liabilities.
- Maintain the lease register and ensure accurate monthly lease journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Oversee end-to-end accounting for the Engineering department.
- Assist with group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and reconciliation of subsidiary results.
- Prepare quarterly reporting deliverables for investors and lenders.
- Monitor compliance with accounting policies, standards, and internal controls.
- Act as a key contact for external auditors and lead the year-end audit process.
- Oversee the Capex and Projects Accountant in tracking and reporting capital expenditure across the business.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, systems, and controls.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance roles.
- Bachelor's degree.
- CA qualification.
- Ability to quickly learn complex financial concepts.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical skills in finance and accounting.
- Strong Excel skills.
