We are seeking a senior leader to join the Faculty of Science at QUT.

**What You Need to Succeed**

To be successful as Deputy Dean, you will need:

- A doctoral qualification or equivalent in a relevant field, with proven leadership and achievement at a senior level.
- Proven academic leadership and senior management experience, with demonstrated ability to implement learning and teaching initiatives and ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a multidisciplinary portfolio of research activity and lead initiatives focused on enabling research performance and impact.
- Strong strategic planning and operational management skills, business acumen, and a proven record of resource and risk management at a senior level.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate, consult, negotiate, and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the university.
- Demonstrated high-level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to think creatively, introduce innovation, and incorporate principles of diversity and inclusivity.
- Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external parties to deliver student engagement activities, identify strategic opportunities, and partner with industries, professions, or institutions at local and international levels.
