About the Role

Ventia is seeking a skilled SHEQ Advisor to implement, monitor, and govern SHEQ programs, systems, and processes for the AGFMA contract. This role will act as the key interface between the SHEQ Manager and operational delivery, ensuring compliance with Ventia's Health and Safety Management System, legislative, and other requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement project Health and Safety objectives at Agency and site level.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of broader company strategies, initiatives, programs, and leading Health and Safety practices.
  • Work collaboratively across the contract to implement Health and Safety management plans, emergency response, and business continuity planning.
  • Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with Ventia's Health and Safety Management System, legislative, and other requirements.
  • Lead and manage ICAM and Serious Incident investigations and drive learnings into the site and wider business as required.
  • Ensure Ventia SHEQ standards are incorporated into the workplace.

About You

  • Certificate IV in WHS (required).
  • Lead Investigator training – ICAM (required).
  • Lead Auditor qualification (highly regarded).
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
  • Demonstrated experience leading investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Undertake audits to establish process implementation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, communicating and consulting with a large contractor workforce.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role and industry.
