Procurement Transformation Specialist

The role of Procurement Transformation Specialist is a high-impact leadership opportunity to shape the future of procurement at Transport for NSW.

This strategic position will play a key role in driving reform and innovation across all procurement functions at one of the largest procuring agencies in the country, embedding a new operating model that enhances business outcomes and reinforces compliance standards.

As a leader in this space, you will be responsible for building a culture of compliance, procurement excellence, continuous improvement, risk awareness, and sustainability within your team, ensuring the highest standards are met while supporting ethical and strategic procurement outcomes.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify gaps and design fit-for-purpose processes, leveraging industry best practices and leading-edge technologies to drive efficiency and agility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing robust procurement assurance frameworks to mitigate procurement risks and ensure ongoing monitoring and reporting.
  • Promoting ethical standards in procurement, including measures to address modern slavery, fraud, corruption prevention, Indigenous procurement, and ESG performance.
  • Representing the organization in forums and committees, providing leadership and oversight for governance-related initiatives.
  • Building, growing, and leading a team of procurement professionals to deliver efficient, agile, and user-friendly procurement processes.
  • Developing and overseeing an assurance testing program to monitor compliance, performance, and risk management across the full procurement lifecycle.
