About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Migration Specialist to join our team at Commonwealth Bank of Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about cloud migration and wants to be part of a dynamic team that enables cloud adoption for the rest of the bank.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for migrating and modernizing applications used to power our entire business. This involves paving the way for cloud journey for complex applications and ensuring they are simpler, faster, and more secure. You will have the opportunity to work on real-world problems that have the potential to change the lives of our 17 million+ customers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in solution design and architecture
  • Passion for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality software solutions and systems design
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills with .NET
  • Experience leading teams
  • Excellent understanding of infrastructure that runs .NET applications – IIS, Web Servers, Kestrel, Containers, etc.
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing and governance
  • Passionate about DevOps/Automation and solving complex problems systematically
  • Ability to think creatively and break boundaries to solve complex technical problems
  • Strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and best practices
  • Able to take ownership of issues and follow through with end-to-end resolution
  • Good understanding of networking and network protocols
  • Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communication skills
  • Hands-on skills with scripting
