About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team at one of our retail locations in Brunswick. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and responding to emergency situations with professionalism and expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality security and customer service duties, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of clients and employees.
  • Conduct patrols, monitoring, and control of assigned premises, maintaining a secure environment at all times.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, alarm events, and calls for assistance, providing necessary support and guidance.
  • Assess and respond to potential risks, taking proactive measures to mitigate threats and ensure the well-being of individuals and assets.
  • Manage access control, verifying the identity of authorized personnel and visitors while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Prepare and submit incident reports, maintaining accurate records and data logs to facilitate analysis and improvement.
Working Conditions

This is a fixed-term full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The roster includes Thursday and Friday from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. As a Security Officer, you will be required to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in your schedule.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Hold a current Security License.
  • Possess a Control Room License, preferably with a strong background in security operations.
  • Hold a current First Aid certificate, demonstrating your commitment to workplace safety and well-being.
  • Demonstrate impeccable presentation, reflecting positively on yourself and our organization.
  • Exhibit flexibility to work rotating rosters, including nights and weekends, showcasing your adaptability and willingness to accommodate varying schedules.
  • Showcase excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, facilitating effective collaboration and problem-solving within the team.
  • Prove ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, fostering a culture of mutual respect and support.
Estimated Salary: AU$65,000 - AU$75,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
