Linkforce Engineering has a requirement for a skilled Boilermaker/First Class Welder to join our Operations team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and welding, with a Fabrication Trade Certificate and 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance activities according to plan
- Breakdown maintenance in a safe and efficient manner
- Providing accurate information to update the maintenance information system
- Completing all required reports correctly
- Monitoring the environment and reporting to the Line Manager regarding plant and equipment status
- Ensuring understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and legislative obligations
- Taking corrective action where necessary in response to reported defects
- Carrying out work in accordance with shutdown department HSEQ plans focusing on all aspects of the HSEQ system
- Carrying out work in accordance with statutory requirements
- Identifying and reporting potential safety hazards and taking appropriate actions
The successful candidate will also require:
- Solid knowledge of welding procedures
- Able to fabricate, service, diagnose, and repair Machinery and Fixed Plant equipment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Previous FIFO or mine site experience
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- White card
