The Role
We are seeking a Financial Lines Underwriter to join our motivated underwriting team in Sydney. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across various industries and working effectively with the team to accomplish agreed underwriting goals. Your key responsibilities will include preparing and communicating quotations, bindings, policy conditions and mid-term adjustments, negotiating rates/terms with brokers, following up offer of quotations/renewal, updating reporting systems, and developing and maintaining broker relationships.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require previous experience in Insurance (Underwriting or Broking), with a demonstrated knowledge of industries and businesses that allow you to provide quality service to your clients, as well as market knowledge of risk. Design & Construct experience is preferable. You will also need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to conduct presentations and ensure excellent service standards are maintained.
