About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Engagement Librarian to join our team at the University of New South Wales. As a key member of the Library Student Engagement Team, you will play a critical role in designing, planning, and delivering student-focused events and activities that strengthen student wellbeing, connection, and belonging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive program of activities, including orientation events, to support student engagement and wellbeing.
  • Manage event operations, including venue preparation, room bookings, and participant organization.
  • Support the Team Leader, Library Student Outreach, in supervising student Library Peer Mentors.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of events and activities to inform continuous improvement and promote the value of services.
  • Collaborate with the Library matrix to develop and deliver a well-balanced suite of student services, events, and activities.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering successful events and activities, preferably in a higher education environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A passion for student engagement and wellbeing.
  • Ability to analyze data and deliver reviews and reports with evidence-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Previous experience managing team rosters and budgets is highly regarded.
