Our team is seeking a seasoned Platform Engineer to join our crew in Retail Technology. As a Staff Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and delivering the vision for our SAP Core Banking System on HANA and Cloud Modernisation transformation.

About the Role

In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying and running high-quality modern solutions that power many critical elements of the customer experience for our products. You will be an expert at the Full Cycle Implementation and Cloud transformation model, where engineers are involved in Design, Build, Change, and Run.

You will contribute to a culture where quality, inclusiveness and excellence are championed. You will lead efforts to embed security best practices across infrastructure and deployment workflows. You will act as a technical mentor and thought leader for platform engineering standards and architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • SAP HANA Skills: Core Administration with deep knowledge on HANA Architecture and Hands on experience in High Availability and DR, HSR Replication Setup, Revision and Patch Upgrades, Installations, Table Partition, Scale-up and Scale-out architecture for OLAP, Table Redistribution, Performance Tuning and Dump Analysis, Backup / recovery through backint and File Systems, Point in Time Recovery of Logs, Log Shipping, Failover and Failover through Cluster (preferably PaceMaker)
  • AWS Services: Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, VPC, Route 53, Cloudwatch, FSx ONTAP
  • Container Technologies: Deep knowledge of RHEL systems and PackeMaker cluster
  • Scripting: Experience in automation and Scripting (Bash, Python) would be good
  • IaC Tools: Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Ansible & Terraform
  • Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems like GitHub, GitHub Actions
  • Monitoring & Observability: Expertise in tools like Solution Manager, Wily, Grafana, Prometheus
  • ITIL – ServiceNow: Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Capacity Management
Requirements
  • Mandatory Skills: Strong knowledge of SAP HANA administration, AWS services, container technologies, scripting, IaC tools, version control systems, monitoring and observability tools, ITIL – ServiceNow
  • Desirable Skills: Data Custodian experience, hands-on experience with Ansible & Terraform, expertise in Solution Manager, Wily, Grafana, Prometheus
