The Department of Health in Tasmania is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services to join their team.
Job Description:
The Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services will provide strategic leadership and direction for the nursing and midwifery workforce across the Department of Health in Tasmania. This will involve developing and implementing policies, procedures and strategies to support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to the Tasmanian community.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in nursing and midwifery management, with a strong background in policy development, strategic planning and workforce management. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia;
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as health management or leadership;
- Extensive experience in nursing and midwifery management, including policy development, strategic planning and workforce management;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Benefits:
This is a permanent part-time position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight. The salary is $138,478 per annum pro-rata, with an additional 12% superannuation contribution.
