About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Surface Finisher to join our team in Richmond. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing aircraft painting services for composite and metallic components.

As an Aircraft Surface Finisher, your primary responsibilities will include performing painting activities while supporting operational units with tasks such as surface finish work on components, advanced structural repair, and aircraft or component repairs or modifications.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should be organised, diligent, and committed to achieving outcomes. A solution-focused thinker with the flexibility to adapt to new challenges is essential.

Key qualifications include:

  • Certificate III in Aircraft Surface Finishing
  • Experience in painting composite and metallic aircraft and components
  • Aircraft maintenance experience or equivalent industry painting experience
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Good hand skills with materials and hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

In addition, applicants must be eligible for an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment screening.

An estimated salary range for this role is between $80,000 - $110,000 AUD per annum, based on location and industry standards.
