Freight Changeover Driver Opportunity

This role offers the chance to work as a changeover driver for an express freight company. The job involves driving a Scania prime mover, typically paired with Auto Road Rangers.

The drivers will report to Arndell park to pick up their truck, perform a pre-start check, and then depart to another depot. Once at the next site, they will grab the paperwork, check the trailer assignments, and confirm that the trailers match the paperwork before proceeding with the hook-up and tug test.

As a changeover driver, you can expect to drive various routes across different destinations in Sydney. The pay rate is 0.59 cents per kilometer, plus additional bonuses. This role requires a high level of rest before each shift, as the drivers need to be well-rested and focused throughout the day.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick up trucks from Arndell Park
  • Perform pre-start checks on trucks
  • Drive to other depots for changeovers
  • Hook up assigned trailers and perform tug tests
  • Check paperwork and trailer assignments

Requirements:

  • Scania prime mover driving experience
  • Auto Road Ranger driving skills
