We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join our engineering team based in the Newcastle Office. Reporting to the Civil Design Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing quality, safe, and commercially effective engineering designs for project delivery.

As a key member of our engineering delivery team, you will be involved in the development and ongoing refinement of bulk earthworks and related civil engineering design for renewable infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working as part of the engineering delivery team within Zenviron, involved in the development, and ongoing refinement of bulk earthworks and related civil engineering design for renewable infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding your WHS responsibilities and actively promoting and supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others.
  • Providing technical support to other members of the Engineering team and project teams.
  • Ensuring all designs/documentation meet the relevant standards.
  • Co-ordinating with design consultants and subcontractors as necessary.
  • Providing engineering support to project civil works including engineering investigations, site inspections, solving problems and making recommendations.

What we are looking for:

  • Australian recognised Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia (or be eligible to obtain)
  • Experience in the delivery of large-scale civil bulk earthworks projects
  • Knowledge of 12D (highly regarded) and AutoCAD design software
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Good communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
