**Job Overview**

This leading organisation in the animal healthcare and pet supplies space is seeking a Health, Safety & Wellbeing advisor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery and implementation of the safety management system within the Supply Chain, in partnership with stakeholders. This role works closely with Managers and Team Members across operations to improve internal safety capability through coaching, support and managing risk to achieve health, safety and wellbeing outcomes for the division and wider business.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide input into the development and execution of the HSW Strategic plan and HSW Training plans with relevant stakeholders
  • Develop, lead and coach on HSE risk assessments, hazard identification, incident investigations and procedure updates
  • Support the delivery of health & wellbeing initiatives to promote a well-being focused culture
  • Establish yourself as a HSW Subject matter expert through working closely with management and providing visible leadership to all site employees

**Requirements**

You will be a motivated and practical thinker who can engage and partner with business leaders. Key qualifications include:

  • Experience as a safety professional within warehousing and/or manufacturing and/or supply chain or related field.
  • Formal qualifications within health and safety e.g. Certificate IV, diploma or bachelors/ post grad degree.
  • Practical working knowledge of WHS legislation, procedures and industry standards
  • Understanding of heavy vehicle national legislation and chain of responsibility requirements is highly desirable
