Job Title

The OCMS Interface Manager represents the interests of Metro Trains Melbourne and coordinates with the Network Development team to define OCMS scope, resource requirements, solution estimates, and coordinate input and review of documentation early in the project lifecycle.

The role involves engagement across OCMS and Network Development to support development and refinement of delivery cost estimates from concept design throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring final integrated design processes and working procedures improve safety, maintainability, cost efficiency, and support strong operating performance for Day 1 operations.

  • Support the development of Metro Trains Melbourne's Final Operational Requirements and Final Impact Statement, overseeing OCMS engineering, delivery, and maintenance advice to achieve safety, operability, and maintainability outcomes.
  • Provide guidance to the Network Development Team in managing OCMS technical interface issues.
  • Support Rail Projects Victoria, Department of Transport, Level Crossing Removal Project, and their partners to develop proposal documentation to form an integrated design and maintenance framework for successful Day 1 operations.
  • Establishing a detailed OCMS resource plan to support the delivery of procurement, design, testing, commissioning, and handover scope.
  • Lead engagement with the Network Development team to identify opportunities for OCMS works, receive, and validate agreed scopes and acting as the interface between OCMS and Project Development & Delivery teams through the project lifecycle.
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Technology, Engineering, or Systems-related field advantageous.
  • Ability to support change initiatives and help implement their success.
  • Ability to manage risks and take advantage of opportunities.
  • Ability to establish and develop strong professional relationships.
  • Working within technical teams to plan resource requirements, manage project stakeholders, and coordinate with Technology Team Leaders and SMEs preferred.
  • Experience in using project management methodologies preferred.
