Job Overview

Mater Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Nurse to join their team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care, working alongside Mater Education to upskill and transition into specialty.

The Coronary Care & Cardio Thoracic Unit is a 40-bed unit providing high-level care for acutely ill and chronic cardiovascular/cardiothoracic patients. We cater for elective and emergency admissions, offering a wide variety of cardiac services to the community.

This role offers great flexibility with permanent part-time, casual, or fixed-term contracts available. You'll have the opportunity to work across all shifts and be an active participant in quality and safety activities.

About You

  • You must be currently registered as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Prior experience in critical care nursing is preferred.
  • A Critical Care Certificate or working towards it is desirable but not essential.
  • You must demonstrate ability to plan and coordinate patient care and competency in clinical problem solving.
  • You must be available to work across all shifts.
  • You must demonstrate competency in written and verbal communications and the ability to maintain accurate clinical and assessment data.
