About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to fill the position of Lead School Psychologist. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a strong understanding of the education sector and the ability to provide expert guidance and support to school psychologists across the North Metropolitan Education Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to school psychologists in the North Metropolitan Education Region, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality services to students and schools.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the delivery of school psychology services, including the development of programs and interventions to support student learning and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that school psychology services are aligned with the Department's strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Provide professional development and support to school psychologists, including coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to school psychology services, ensuring they are aligned with the Department's strategic objectives and priorities.
Requirements
  • Hold or be eligible for general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting employment.
  • Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
  • Have achieved Advanced Skills School Psychologist status for permanent appointment to this position.
